Artaria enjoys its artistic collaborations, and in chamber music the rewards are great. Some of the most remarkable and lasting statements have been penned by composers combining string quartet and one other instrument or voice.
With our piano friend Mary Ellen Haupert we will journey with Robert Schumann in his remarkable Piano Quintet in a Concert at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin (2/20) and at Sundin Music Hall in St. Paul (2/21) .
Another exciting collaboration this year is with the unflappable Garrison Keillor on his Prairie Home Companion. The show will air on October 17, 2009
A very special project we have created is the Saint Paul String Quartet Competition, held annually in the acoustically pure Sundin Music Hall.

This event features the finest high school age string quartets in the country in a unique competing event. The SPSQC invites only string quartets and is judged by a string quartet. Next April we have invited the exciting Cavani Quartet to be the jury.
